Balogun Afolabi Oluwaloseyi (born 12 July 2000), professionally known as Seyi Vibez, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter known for blending street sounds with soulful melodies. He rose to prominence with his hit single “Chance (Na Ham)” from his second studio album Billion Dollar Baby, which debuted at No. 19 on the UK Afrobeats chart and peaked at No. 7 on the TurnTable Top 100.

Early Life

Seyi Vibez was born in Ketu, Lagos State, and later moved to Ikorodu, where he grew up. His passion for music began at a young age, driven by his surroundings and life experiences.

Music Career

He debuted in 2019 with the single “Anybody”, but gained attention in 2020 with “Godsent”. In 2021, he dropped his debut album No Seyi No Vibez (NSNV). He followed this with Billion Dollar Baby in 2022, along with a deluxe version titled Billion Dollar Baby 2.0. The album topped the TurnTable 50 Albums Chart and established him as a top street-hop artist.

In January 2023, he released his first EP, Memory Card, a 5-track project that featured American rapper YXNG K.A. The EP gained over 6.3 million streams in its first week and secured multiple entries in the TurnTable Top 10 chart. It was named one of the 10 Best Albums of January 2023 by Pan African Music.

That same year, he collaborated with Zlatan on the hit single “Let There Be Light”, and with Kizz Daniel on another hit, “Jajoo”. He was also announced as a brand ambassador for Cardtonic in August 2023.

At the 16th Headies Awards, he won the award for Best Street-Hop Artiste for “Chance (Na Ham)”. In early 2024, Seyi Vibez shared that Nigerian superstar Burna Boy had inspired him with the advice: “Show no sign of weakness, keep moving.”

In April 2024, he released the hit single "Instagram" featuring Muyeez. The track topped Apple Music Nigeria within 24 hours of its release. On May 16, 2024, Seyi Vibez was nominated for the BET Viewer’s Choice: Best New International Act.

Personal Life

On March 16, 2023, Seyi Vibez announced the passing of his mother, calling it the darkest day of his life. Despite personal loss, he continues to channel his emotions into his music and inspire a generation of fans.
