Kizz Daniel was born in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria, and hails from the Abeokuta North local government area. He attended Abeokuta Grammar School and went on to graduate from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta in 2013, with a degree in Water Resources Management and Agrometeorology. While studying, he nurtured his passion for music and began building a foundation for his career.

Career

Kizz Daniel rose to fame in 2014 with his breakout single “Woju.” He initially signed with G-Worldwide Entertainment in 2013, but left the label following legal disputes. In November 2017, he launched his own record label, Flyboy I.N.C, which gave him creative and professional freedom.

Over the years, he released a string of successful projects including his debut album New Era (2016), followed by No Bad Songz (2018), King of Love (2020), and a series of chart-topping singles like “Laye,” “One Ticket” featuring Davido, and the global smash “Buga.” In 2022, he performed at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar, further establishing his international appeal.

Kizz Daniel has been recognized with several awards including the Song of the Year at the 2023 Soundcity MVP Awards for "Buga." He was arrested in Tanzania in August 2022 over a missed performance. His split from G-Worldwide led to legal challenges, especially after he changed his name from “Kiss Daniel” to “Kizz Daniel.” These disputes were publicly resolved in 2022 with a viral #Peace&Love moment.

Personal Life

Kizz Daniel welcomed a set of triplets on May 1, 2021, but sadly lost one four days after birth. He celebrated the remaining two by purchasing them a two-bedroom penthouse each. In June 2025, he announced a break from recording to focus more on family life.
